- In a forum with farmers and ranchers, he stressed the importance of agricultural policies "providing facilities, not obstacles as Minister Planas does now."
- «Voting for Carmen Crespo and the Popular Party is betting on Andalusia having its own voice in Europe»
The campaign director of the Electoral Committee of the PP of Andalusia, Antonio Repullo, insisted this afternoon in Córdoba on the importance of going to vote next Sunday, June 9, because “We are risking our present and our future.”
During a forum with farmers and ranchers from the province of Córdoba, in which he accompanied the PP candidate for the European Parliament, Dolors Montserrat, and the provincial president of the PP of Córdoba, Adolf Molina. The general secretary of the Andalusian Popular Party has also stressed that “The European elections next Sunday, June 9, are the elections of farmers and ranchers because Europe is where all the issues that directly affect the Andalusian countryside are decided”.
Repullo has pointed out that “the more votes the PP has on June 9, The voice of Andalusian farmers and ranchers will be heard more clearly and loudly in Europe”. On the contrary, “the more weight the PSOE has, the less prominence our camp will have in Brussels.”
“The facts prove it,” he assured, recalling that, for example, that “In Andalusia alone, our farmers and ranchers have lost 570 million euros from an unfair CAP, negotiated by Minister Planas with his back turned to the tens of thousands of women and men, from families in the Andalusian countryside. A PAC that suffocates them in endless paperwork and with very complicated demands to meet.”
For this reason, the general secretary of the PP of Andalusia has reiterated the support of the Popular Party for the mobilizations of farmers and ranchers, who are once again protesting against the policies of the Government that has mistreated them the most here and that has defended them the least in Europe, with a minister who has only tried to divide the sector.
Andalusia is the leading agri-food power in Spain. “Our farmers and ranchers contribute 12% to the wealth of Andalusia and 10% of employment, and the Andalusian countryside also feeds more than 500 million Europeans with top quality food,” he explained.
“They represent the most important productive sector in Andalusia, and I am not only referring to the economic part, but also to the human part and the social part”, has clarified, arguing that “they are the ones who make it possible to take root in the territory, in the rural world” and especially highlighting “the young people and women who are taking the step to move forward in this important generational change, which is promoting also the Junta de Andalucía.”
He stressed that "in Andalusia we are betting, as I say, on generational change, on placing rural women in the place they have always deserved and, above all, on working for those issues that are very important such as water, hydraulic infrastructures and of course, also to make them have less tax burden and not hinder the relationship with the administration.”
Thus, Antonio Repullo has reaffirmed that “the European elections of Next Sunday, June 9"They are our elections, those of the Andalusians and especially those of farmers and ranchers." “We can't stay home, we have to go vote.”
“We have the capacity in these elections, by voting for the Popular Party for the candidacy that Dolors Montserrat represents as number one, to be able to take that leap” to leave behind “an insensitive government” and “we go to the European institutions, we go to the European Parliament with the strength, with the power and with the voice of Andalusian candidates who represent Andalusia, who know Andalusia, such as Carmen Crespo, Minister of Agriculture for five and a half years, and as is Juan Ignacio Zoido.” Therefore, vote for them, “Voting for the Popular Party is betting on Andalusia having its own voice in Europe”.
