The spokesperson for the Popular Group in the Parliament of Andalusia, Toni Martín, has considered that "the Andalusian PSOE, which previously had a life of its own, is today only a branch of that trunk that is the sanchismo and that they built between Sánchez and his closest collaborators, including Mr. Ábalos." Martín emphasized the "familiarity" and "cordiality" with which the First Vice President of the Government and Secretary General of the PSOE-A, María Jesús Montero, communicated with José Luis Ábalos, judging by the WhatsApp conversations between her and José Luis Ábalos reported in the media.
"Trunk and soul. This is how Mrs. Montero appears in her WhatsApp messages. referring to Mr. Ábalos. The soul is the most important element of any organism. The core is what supports any structure. Well, the soul and the core, that's what Ms. Montero thought of Mr. Ábalos," the Popular Party parliamentary spokesperson emphasized, describing what he considers to be the drift of the Andalusian PSOE, now led by Montero, as follows:The Andalusian PSOE, which previously had a life of its own, Today it is only a branch of that trunk, from that trunk that is sanchismo, that trunk that was built between Sánchez and his closest collaborators, among them Mr. Ábalos.”
In a press conference in Parliament, Toni Martín stated that Spain is "in the throes of a Government that, according to its own president, is a government of birds and clumsy people"and has asked himself"If that's what the Prime Minister thinks about those who are part of his government, I don't know what he thinks about the rest of the Spanish people.".
He asserted that Spaniards "are speechless" at the information released and considered the messages released regarding the Air Europa bailout to be "a turning point in this entire journey through the corruption of Pedro Sánchez and his entourage."
"Today, he is no longer his Attorney General, nor his former deputy, nor his brother, nor his wife. Today, it is him, today, it is Pedro Sánchez, who, in person, with messages from him and his right-hand man at the time, acknowledges knowledge of and participation in a case that is currently under investigation and in which a judge has already said he sees evidence of criminal conduct in his wife's behavior," Martín emphasized. "Now we have learned that the Prime Minister spoke about and directly participated in the irregular bailout of Air Europa, which cost the public coffers €475 million," he added.
On the other hand, the popular parliamentary spokesman has announced that the PP will bring to next week's Plenary Session in the Chamber two non-legislative proposals: one for condemn the massive blackout of April 28 and the deficiencies of the Spanish electricity management model; and another to demand the resignation of Oscar Puente due to the collapse of the railway system in Andalusia.
Martín points out the government's "disrespectful attitude" toward train users in Andalusia and Spain.
"We want the Andalusian Parliament to take a position on our request for the resignation or dismissal of the Minister of Public Works, Óscar Puente, given his repeated incompetence in managing the railway system, his lack of transparency, his inability to address any operational crisis, and, above all, his completely disrespectful attitude toward users, the people of Andalusia, and the rest of Spain," Martín emphasized.
He also explained that this initiative also aims to "rebuke the lack of initiative and action of the person who should be the general coordinator of all government actions in this area, as well as in all others, the Vice President of the Government, currently the leader of the Andalusian Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), María Jesús Montero, who has abandoned this coordination between ministries and has abandoned the financing, which is at the root of the problems of the railway system, and which affects not only the remodeling of existing infrastructure, but also the implementation of the new infrastructure that our system needs," he pointed out.
On the other hand, Martín referred to the ERE case and stated: "You have to see how nervously the Andalusian Socialist Party reacts to any new news about the ERE. They react with such a nervous fit to any new news about the ERE." In his opinion, "you have to be filthy with corruption to accuse of indecency the party that is fighting for those guilty of the greatest robbery Andalusia has ever experienced to pay for what they did."
"You have to be filthy with corruption to call innocent victims the politicians who evidently facilitated this biggest corruption case in history," Martín insisted, while stating that, in his opinion, "what's happening is nothing more than a reaction by the justice system to an obvious attempt to change the rules of the game to suit the interests of the Socialist Party so that those guilty of the biggest corruption case in the history of Andalusia, the ERE case, don't pay for the immense and extensive damage they've done to this land. And that, as you can understand, as public servants, as representatives of the Andalusian people, the Popular Party will not tolerate."
Toni Martín has rejected the PSOE's complaint about the increase in private healthcare services in Andalusia and noted that this figure is lower than during the PSOE governments. It currently stands at around 3,5%, while in 2014 it was over 5%, he noted.
Finally, Martín responded to criticism from left-wing parties for not holding the special plenary session on health in Parliament, which these political forces are requesting, contrasting the activities in the Congress of Deputies and the Andalusian Parliament.
Thus, he pointed out that while There are 65 laws blocked in Congress because the Sánchez government does not have a majority. And while more than a thousand requests for ministers to appear have gone unheeded, in Andalusia there are no requests for appearances that have gone unheeded, and even very small groups of deputies have the opportunity to defend laws. He also pointed out that Sánchez has not set foot in the Senate for 14 months, while Juanma Moreno in Andalusia punctually attends every control session in the Andalusian Parliament.
