Pablo García: “While Sánchez presents his umpteenth plan, young Andalusians have incentives and tax benefits for housing”

  • The deputy secretary of Development, Territorial Coordination, Housing and Justice of the PP of Andalusia, the measures proposed by Sánchez are “unrealistic and ineffective” due to his parliamentary weakness and his lack of dialogue with the autonomous communities
  • “The housing model of the PP in Andalusia has saved young people 90 million euros, we continue to move towards an Andalusia with opportunities for all, where there is room for everyone”

The Deputy Secretary of Development, Territorial Coordination, Housing and Justice of the PP of Andalusia, Pablo García, believes that the housing problem in Spain and Andalusia “is a State problem and must be treated as such.”

García highlighted today in a press conference in Granada the work model of “Juanma Moreno for housing, which is nothing more or less than the Andalusian way”. The popular party member explained that thanks to the good management of the Junta de Andalucía, today Andalusians “already have a model based on low tax pressure so that access to housing is easier”.

We build an Andalusia for everyone

The weakness of Sánchez's government blocks the country

“Housing is a concern for all of us, but the PP of Andalusia is making a fact-based policy“, García said. “That is why we have been applying tax relief measures since 2022 to make it easier for young people to access the purchase or rental of a home.”

“For us it is essential that young Andalusians have access to housing and thanks to the measures implemented, more and more people can do so", he said. Measures such as the super-reduced rate of 3,5% on the Property Transfer Tax, mortgage guarantees - which in 2025 will be extended to 40 years -, deductions in personal income tax for investing in a habitual residence or for renting a habitual residence or the 99% bonus on Inheritance and Gift Tax between parents, children and spouses.

"This -says the popular- has made the Young Andalusians have saved 90 million euros in one year or that 73.000 young people and almost 200.000 families have benefited from this fiscal package.” “We continue to move towards an Andalusia with opportunities for all and where the concerns of the Andalusians are resolved with actions.”

Regarding the Young Rental Bonus, García explained that “the increase in applications has been significant, despite this increase the website has not crashed at any time.” “Only a system has been applied through which a waiting ticket is generated to be attended to, just as if it were a face-to-face registration,” he clarified. “In fact, the first applications were registered within a few minutes of the call being opened and at no time have we stopped receiving entries from applicants for the call, which by the way, is about to close due to the success of requests.”

In this regard, the deputy secretary has stated that “Andalusia is at the forefront” in the solution to the housing problem and has invited the “central government to follow the Andalusian model”. In addition, he has called on Sánchez to “resolve this State problem by dialoguing with all the autonomous communities and with realistic and effective measures; there is no room for division and noise here”.

For García, Sánchez's measures are "interventionist and unrealistic, this is the umpteenth housing plan of a Government that makes announcements but not houses," he said. "The lack of housing is a real need and construction must be encouraged as soon as possible, to do so it is necessary to speed up all the bureaucratic procedures for land, not make announcements that will mostly not be fulfilled."

“However, none of this is going to become a reality.” The popular has highlighted the fact that Sánchez’s government still has no budget, since five of the 12 measures announced by Sánchez need the approval of Congress, while the others depend on him being able to push through his budgets to be effective. “His parliamentary weakness and his lack of dialogue with the autonomous communities means that problems such as housing are perpetuated.”

Sanchez's insult to Andalusia is continuous

But "we Andalusians cannot wait for a government that has given up on presenting a budget and that continually dedicates itself to offending the Andalusians." Sánchez wants a weak and underfunded Andalusia, we continue to lose 1.500 billion euros a year due to the interests of Sánchez and María Jesús Montero, he argued. “He believes that with noise and confrontation he will achieve his personal objectives, that is why he has sent Montero, but the Andalusians want the future and the moderation of the PP of Andalusia.”“The Andalusians want equal treatment and opportunities,” he stressed.

“This week we have seen how the Government has started the transfer of Rodalies to the Generalitat with the R1 line, while the Andalusians have hundreds of pending infrastructures.” “Granada is one of the great examples,” he explained. The lack of connection is a problem for thousands of citizens and a deficit of competitiveness in the province: “They put obstacles in the way of the development of the people of Granada: we have the slowest AVE in Spain, there is no progress for the Mediterranean corridor, the connection with Almería or Málaga is very poor and the Guadix Lorca train does not even sound to Óscar Puente.”

"I'm sure that between the many positions held by the minister, vice-president and now leader of the PSOE-A, Montero will at some point come to Andalusia. I suggest that she take advantage of the trip and bring to La Moncloa some of the real needs of the Andalusians," she said.
