- The secretary general of the Andalusian Popular Party highlights that “for the first time in history, Andalusia has reached the record figure of three and a half million people in employment”
- “In the face of the politics of noise and immorality, the PP proposes the Andalusian way. That of democratic values, transparent management and the improvement of public services”
“The province of Córdoba is today a land that is advancing hand in hand with the Partido Popular. It is a land of opportunities.” This was stated this afternoon by the secretary general of the PP of Andalusia, Antonio Repullo, in statements to the media before participating in the Council of Mayors of the PP of Córdoba together with the provincial president of the party, Adolfo Molina, and the mayor of the capital, José María Bellido.
Repullo has expressed his satisfaction at seeing how the province he represents as a member of the Andalusian Parliament is growing and changing at the same pace as Andalusia. “Today, the people of Cordoba see that their demands are heard by the Regional Government, by the Provincial Council and by the many PP mayors who make their municipalities a better place, where many citizens can develop their life projects.”
On the contrary, he has pointed to “a very nervous PSOE”. With a lot of resentment. Threatening, insulting and trying to create an atmosphere of confrontation and division in Andalusia”. “That is their idea of opposition: to break, lie and manipulate”. But, “their strategy is not working. Not only because the polls say that they continue to lose votes and appreciation from the citizens. But because the PSOE is cracking from within”.
For Repullo, “Sanchismo, this Pedrocracy that Spain is suffering, is trampling on the values of our Constitution. There is no solidarity, no justice, no loyalty to the institutions.” “Here we only have the survival of the leader and a group of sycophants glued to their seats,” he adds.
The secretary general of the Andalusian PP also warns that "the Andalusian PSOE is not getting out of one situation to get into another. From the EREs to the FAFFE. From the Ábalos Plot to parliamentary insignificance."
Antonio Repullo argues that “in the face of this policy of noise and amorality, the PP proposes the Andalusian way. That of democratic values, transparent management and the improvement of public services.” “In the face of lies, facts,” such as the upcoming Budgets for 2025 “expansive and social. A commitment to the citizens.” And he continued: “in the face of the PSOE’s snubs, in the face of its threats, the Popular Party has certainties. And real solutions to the real problems of the Andalusians.”
A clear example is the data from the Active Population Survey for the second quarter of this year, according to which unemployment is falling again in this province to 17,08%, the lowest rate in the last 16 years and is also eight and a half points lower than the rate in 2018 with the socialist government. Likewise, Repullo highlights the growth in the number of employed people from Cordoba, so that there are now 311.400 employed, 7.400 more than in the second quarter of the year.
In this way, Córdoba follows the positive trend of Andalusia as a whole, which closed the third quarter of 2024 with 16% unemployment, the lowest rate in the last seventeen years, and has reached for the first time in its history the record figure of more than three and a half million people in employment.
In his opinion, these positive figures are the facts that show that “the PP believes in municipalism and in the weight of mayors in building a better society.” “The City Council is the first door that citizens knock on. A politics with substance. A day-to-day politics. Where problems are not dealt with in percentages, but with names and surnames,” explained Repullo, thanking the PP councillors in the municipalities of Córdoba for their “commitment not only to the party but, above all, to their neighbours.” “Politics, with a capital P, is local politics. I am convinced,” he affirms.
The people of Cordoba trust the PP
For his part, the provincial president of the PP of Córdoba, Adolfo Molina, has stated that the mayors of the PP of Córdoba “are examples of good management, of commitment to their neighbours, of giving their all in the day-to-day life of their municipalities to improve the quality of life of the citizens”. “The PP of Córdoba is the favourite party of the people of Córdoba, they have given us their trust because they know that we know how to manage. That is why we have 31 mayors who are giving their all to transform their municipalities and move forward”, he assured.
In this regard, Molina has highlighted that both the PP mayors of Córdoba and the Andalusian government of Juanma Moreno know how to govern, we know how to do things and do them well no matter what the cost, even if they put many obstacles in our wheels. “We are going to continue working, with our mayors and with the entire party machinery, to continue improving Córdoba. Because despite the PSOE's mud campaign, the reality is that we are better off than 6 years ago, and I'm not the one saying it, all the data says it,” he assured.
For his part, the president of the Council of Mayors of the PP of Andalusia and mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, has stressed that we continue working for the society of Córdoba “in the face of a bleak panorama; we are surrounded by mud every day, by corruption and lately by a degradation of political ethics that was never seen before”. Faced with this, the mayors of the PP of Córdoba are here to continue working on issues that concern the people of Córdoba on a daily basis, housing, local financing that we need to improve our public services, in addition to the rate hike that is imposed on us so that the town councils are tax collectors. One more of the 69 taxes that Pedro Sánchez has pulled out of his sleeve”.
