Andalusia presents its First Agroindustry Strategy 2025-2027 to consolidate its leadership in the sector and improve the competitiveness of the agri-food chain. Promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, this roadmap promotes internationalization, the circular economy and innovation.

Andalusia will launch in the coming months the First Strategy of the Agroindustrya for the period 2025-2027, a pioneering initiative promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines. The main objective of this roadmap is to improve the competitiveness of the Andalusian agro-industry, consolidate its leadership in the sector and guarantee a sustainable balance in the agri-food chain.

The Minister of Agriculture, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, made the announcement during the gala of the XI Gastronomic Awards of the Association of Friends of the Holy Kingdom, held in Jaén. The First Agroindustry Strategy not only highlights the role of Jaén and its agroindustry linked to olive groves, but also its contribution to the Andalusian biogas alliance, a key element for the transition towards a circular economy model.

The making of This First Agroindustry Strategy has been the result of a process of ongoing dialogue with the main economic and social agents, who have contributed key initiatives and objectives. This process has been developed within the Social Dialogue Roundtable, promoting cooperation between the public and private sectors.

However, the Andalusian Government believes that there is still room to improve competitiveness and maximize the profitability of the sector through the excellence of its products.

During the gala, special awards were also presented. This year, the musical group Supersubmarina and the writer Jesús Maeso de la Torre were named 'Honorary Members' for their contribution to the promotion of Jaén. Likewise, the former footballer and coach Luis de la Fuente was recognised as 'Honorary Awardee', who received his award from the hands of the councillor Ramón Fernández-Pacheco.
