Andalusia (PP) — The regional Parliament has approved, at the proposal of the Andalusian PP, to request the Government of Spain a strategic project for economic recovery and transformation (PERTE) specifically for tourism endowed with at least 12.000 million euros to be able to face the challenges that such an important sector for the economy of the community is currently facing.

The good prospects remain for this year, since in Holy Week, one million visits have been received, 22% more than in the previous year, and have generated 400 million euros in revenue, 27% more.
Faced with this scenario, the Andalusian PP understands that the demand for a PERTE of tourism is more valid than ever given the context of enormous economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
PERTE: these are the proposals raised
Thus, the proposal put forward by the PP underlines the need for these claims to be addressed and labor, economic, fiscal or business support measures that help the sector to improve its competitiveness and preserve socioeconomic stability be adopted.
Among these measures, the Andalusian PP has included the financing of a Renove plan for the hotel industry, with aid for the adaptation, improvement and modernization of hotel facilities and equipment. Likewise, and given the increase in production costs derived from inflation and high energy prices, it emphasizes the need for dDeploy aid to defray energy overruns in the hospitality industry, as well as the application of VAT reduced to 5% in the electricity consumption of these catering establishments or the maintenance of the discount of 20 cents for fuels for professional use.
In addition, it requests that a 50% grant plan of the cost of the facilities and equipment necessary to comply with the obligations contained in RDL 14/2022.
In tax matters, the proposal approved by the regional Parliament also includes the proposal for more flexible return conditions for ICO liquidity lines for self-employed workers and SMEs, in addition to the launch of a specific line of guarantees for tourism SMEs.
Finally, the proposal urges the Andalusian Government to develop the Andalusian Plan for Training, Employment Qualification and Recognition of Professionals in the Tourism Industry within the framework of the strategy undertaken by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport to improve the adaptation of the sector to the new tourist cycle that is opening internationally.
