Andalusia is transformed for the better five years after Juanma Moreno took office as president of the Junta de Andalucía. Strategic projects of interest

Two projects of great importance have been raised, which have been declared of strategic interest for Andalusia. These are the Starlite in Estepona and a logistics center in the Almeria municipality of Pulpí.

The Starlite Music World project, located in Estepona, is emerging as a cultural and leisure reference point for the region. This project has an investment of 286 million euros and will generate 450 jobs.

On the other hand, the logistics center in Pulpí will focus on the international distribution of merchandise, with an investment of 100 million euros. This initiative will create 132 jobs during the construction phase and 150 jobs in the operation phase.

The declaration of these projects as of strategic interest entails a significant halving of processing times. However, it is important to highlight that said projects must comply with all established requirements and procedures. In addition, the transfer of these projects to the accelerator unit implies the assignment of a reference official, who will provide assistance throughout the processing process.

On January 18, 2018, President Juanma Moreno was inaugurated, at that moment the transformation of Andalusia began to take place.

A consequence of this transformation is that the majority of Andalusians believe that life is good in Andalusia, better than in other autonomous communities in Spain.

A significant majority of residents of Andalusia, approximately 60,6%, consider that the quality of life in their region exceeds that of other autonomous communities in Spain. This feeling is based on aspects such as the pleasant climate and the local philosophy of life, as revealed by the most recent edition of the Andalusian Barometer, a study by the CENTRA Foundation.

This analysis, which collects the opinions of 3.600 Andalusians surveyed between December 12 and 22, 2023, shows that the inhabitants of Andalusia rate their quality of life with an average score of 7,31 out of 10. In addition, a 63,2 % of respondents consider their economic situation as favorable and have optimistic expectations about the future. However, unemployment and job instability are perceived as important challenges, with 25,8% of respondents mentioning them as negative factors.

Regarding politics, the situation in Spain is perceived negatively by a large majority, while the political situation in Andalusia is seen positively by more than half of those surveyed. The recent agreement between the Junta de Andalucía and the central Government for the protection of Doñana It has received a positive rating from 66,5% of Andalusians.

Regarding consumption habits and price increases, 44,8% of those surveyed have reduced their consumption of certain foods, such as fresh fish and olive oil, due to the increase in prices. Furthermore, while the majority have not experienced difficulties in meeting regular expenses, there is a significant proportion who face financial challenges in various aspects.

Regarding politics, the management of Juanma Moreno As president of the Junta de Andalucía, he receives a mostly positive assessment, and is the most recognized and best valued political leader in the region.

If elections to the Parliament of Andalusia were held at the current time, the PP would be the dominant political force, followed by the PSOE and Vox. Por Andalucía/Sumar and Adelante Andalucía would also have representation, while Ciudadanos would not obtain seats.
