From January 13 to 19, the twelfth We Love Flamenco competition took place at the Alfonso XII Hotel in Seville. With more than thirty established designers and promising young designers, this event has become the cradle of the boldest trends and the most traditional lines. Each and every one of the parades has offered a spectacle where color and creativity have been the true protagonists.
XII edition of We Love Flamenco
Held at the emblematic Alfonso XIII Hotel, We Love Flamenco has held its twelfth edition from January 13 to 19, fusing fashion with solidarity and culture. The parades of the Sandra Ibarra Foundation Faced with Cancer and the brotherhoods of Rocío de Sevilla and Triana have added a touch of humanity and commitment to the catwalk. The designer Iván Campaña, with his debut in flamenco fashion, closed the week with a collection that left all attendees speechless.
In the first days, magical moments were experienced with proposals that paid tribute to historical figures and the culture of Andalusia. The New Designers Contest confirmed that new talents are ready to leave their mark in the world of fashion. Proposals such as those of Emilio Alcalá and La Parrala showed that flamenco fashion can be both traditional and surprisingly modern.
The penultimate day was marked by freshness and elegance, with designs that moved away from convention to embrace the avant-garde in fabrics and colors. Designers like Loreto Martínez and Alicia Suárez showed that flamenco fashion is a blank canvas ready to be reinvented.
The last day was dressed to the nines with the participation of designers such as Lola Azahares and Paco Prieto, who presented proposals that ranged from light and airy flamenco to bold volumes, always maintaining color as a central element. Iván Campaña, with his first collection, showed that the future of flamenco fashion is promising and full of innovation.
Proposals for all tastes without losing the flamenco essence
The flamenco of 2024 has shown itself to be a chameleon-like entity, capable of adapting and evolving without losing its essence. From the most classic proposals of Eloy Enamorado and Reyes Bohórquez to the daring designs of José Hidalgo and El Ajolí, We Love Flamenco has been a celebration of Andalusian cultural diversity and richness.
We Love Flamenco 2024 has been an ode to creativity and ingenuity, where each designer has contributed their unique vision to flamenco fashion, creating a mosaic of styles that has enchanted fashion lovers around the world. With a mix of tradition and modernity, this event has demonstrated once again why flamenco fashion continues to be an inexhaustible source of inspiration and beauty.
