People's Party of Andalusia

Moreno defends a project for everyone: "This headquarters is for everyone to come. We are the people's party."

Juanma Moreno Hinojosa del Duque

The president of the PP of Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, inaugurated this Wednesday the new regional headquarters of the PP in Hinojosa del Duque (Córdoba), a space that he defined as "a house open to the neighbors, to those who think like us and to those who don't, because we also want to convince them that our political option is the most reasonable, the most sensible and the only bet for the future that our country has."

Juanma Moreno expressed his gratitude for the "affection, hospitality, and support" received from the region's residents and emphasized the importance of having a "dignified, spacious, and useful space for debate, proposals, and active listening to citizens."This headquarters is not for us to lock ourselves away, but rather to speak face to face with those who have not yet voted for us, to build together an alternative for progress for Andalusia and for Spain."He said.

During his speech, he praised the collective effort that made this headquarters possible, especially that of the grassroots members. "No one gives us anything; we achieve everything through the efforts of our members, as we have always done in this party," he emphasized. In this regard, he recalled the years when "members met almost clandestinely, in homes or bars, with enthusiasm and without resources," and celebrated the fact that today the PP is "a majority force in Córdoba and throughout Andalusia."

Juanma Moreno: "This headquarters is the result of the activists' efforts."

The president of the People's Party (PP) in Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, stated that "the political project we represent is focused on people, on the real problems of citizens, and on building a better Andalusia." He emphasized that this way of doing politics is already bearing fruit: "Today, Andalusia is no longer the region that was talked about for corruption cases; today, we're talking about jobs, investment, technology, and the future," he stated. "We're asked from other regions how we've managed to attract foreign investment, create jobs, and lead the creation of new companies. And the answer is simple: by governing with rigor, common sense, and stability."

Juanma Moreno also referred to the challenges facing Andalusia, such as water management, and announced that the regional government will continue investing more than €800 million in water infrastructure by 2025. He asked the central government "not to put obstacles in the way and to let us do what they don't want to or don't know how to do, because we do have the will and capacity to provide solutions."

The Andalusian president defended the need for a policy "based on reason, data, and conviction" and championed moderation and common sense as the hallmarks of the Andalusian People's Party. "We have to convince residents that the option we represent is the most appropriate in these times of so much uncertainty, when we need security and people who deliver on their promises," he said.

Sánchez sells out Spain's dignity

"How can it be that a man who is 2.500 kilometers from here, a fugitive from justice, decides the future of all Spaniards?

Moreno lamented that "a country of almost 50 million inhabitants and with more than 500 years of history is being put at the service of the interests of a single person whose only goal is to break up Spain." "Where is the dignity?"The dignity of a country cannot be negotiated or put up for sale to remain in power one more day.", he stated. He added, "it's neither reasonable nor sensible."

Juanma Moreno argued that the response to this situation must come from reason, conviction, and closeness to the citizens. "This, obviously, can only be addressed in one way: with reason, with data, with conviction, with sensitivity, with the ability to convey to citizens the need to make a change in our country and to continue transforming Spain and Andalusia."

Therefore, he has asked members and supporters to continue working to broaden the PP's project: "We have to convince residents that this option, the option represented by the Popular Party, is a reasonable option, a necessary and timely option in these times of so much uncertainty."

"We need security, we need ordinary people who don't lie to our faces, people who reasonably fulfill the promises they've made, and people who look out for the general interest of this great country we've built, called Spain," he added.

Juanma Moreno concluded his speech by reminding everyone that this forum is also open "to those who don't think like us, those who don't believe in us," with the goal of "sitting down with them, looking them in the eye, and convincing them that our political option is the most reasonable, the most sensible, and the only commitment to the future our country has."
