In the course of his speech on the 132nd anniversary of the birth of Blas Infante, Father of the Andalusian Nation, Juanma Moreno has alluded to the "unprecedented challenge of Catalan sovereignty" and, in line with this, has assured that Andalusia "must continue to lead defending the democratic strength of our institutions; of our national sovereignty, which is neither negotiable nor divisible; of the rule of law and our system of freedoms”.
The president of the Andalusian PP has indicated that the motto 'Andalusia for itself, for Spain and Humanity' summarizes “the conception of Blas Infante and contains, at the same time, a quality that defines us, that of being both Andalusian and Spanish”. For this reason, he has said, "we must continue to face those who seek to break the unity of Spain because, simply, we are an essential part of it."
Moreno has affirmed that the institutions of Andalusia "must begin to abandon lamentation, which is already customary, and take advantage of the enormous talent that we Andalusians treasure", in addition to "using all the powerful instruments of self-government that our reformed Statute endows us with of Autonomy to achieve our objectives: more and better employment, better public services and converge in prosperity with other autonomous communities in Spain”.
Juanma Moreno recalled that to Blas Infante "we owe, among other fundamental things, awareness as a people", and that "only by maintaining that spirit can we achieve success". For this, he has reiterated the offer of the Andalusian PP to work "on the path of unity, and thus be the best example of consensus and concord for the sake of the general interest, with the common objective of making Andalusia more prosperous, and doing it together ”.
Moreno has underlined the need to "place Andalusia as the real priority, as Blas Infante did, in a framework of permanent and sincere dialogue, and that confrontation and confrontation have no place in our common project of advancing in our autonomy and our self-government.
Juanma Moreno has appealed to politics as an "indeclinable, disinterested, pedagogical and noble activity", as defined by Blas Infante, to serve as an instrument to achieve "a first class autonomy in which basic public services are safeguarded".
"Today, without a doubt, Infante would appeal to unity and dialogue as guarantees to achieve the Andalusian Ideal, with which we would contribute to strengthening our common project that is Spain", he assured.
