López denounces the "economic hack" to the families of the "decree" of Early Childhood Education

• Alert of the situation of many families with mileurista salaries that still do not know what to do with their children as of September due to losing the subsidy

• The PP requests in a motion the Convocation of the Children's Table, attention to payments to the agreed centers, and correct the new system of bonuses

• Criticizes the attitude of the counselor, "who does not respond" to the "powder keg" and "chaos" in which Education in Andalusia is submerged

The general secretary of the Andalusian PP, Loles López, has denounced this morning the "economic hack" that the decree on Early Childhood Education approved by the Ministry of Education entails for Andalusian families with children from 0 to 3 years of age. López warned that the change in the scales to access the bonuses in the places in these Nursery Schools has caused many families to lose the total subsidy for the place or part of it, and has explained that the most affected are the families of middle class with thousand-dollar salaries, to which the Board stressed, "puts its hand directly in the pocket", with this decree.

The popular leader strongly criticized that the approval of this "decree" was done "with its back to the sector" and that it went ahead thanks to the "complicity" of Ciudadanos in what she called "a direct attack on Andalusian middle-class families" .

He said that the Andalusian PP maintains contact with the platforms, professionals and families, and that, according to the data that the party is collecting, in Andalusia there would be some 80.000 families from all the provinces directly affected by the change in the scale of the bonuses .

He affirmed that there are families that today "still do not know what they are going to do with their children in September" having lost the bonus, to the point, he explained, that there are situations in which one of the spouses is considering giving up to their job in order to reconcile work and family life.

"It is an anti-family and anti-educational decree that reflects the insensitivity of the president of the Board, Susana Díaz, and how far she is from the reality that Andalusian families live in," said López, who recalled that the regulations also fully give educational centers agreed with the Board, which in many cases still do not know how many places to reserve for the course that begins in a few weeks.

For the general secretary of the Andalusian PP, the situation generated is a consequence of the "erratic and politicized educational policy" that Díaz is carrying out, which intends to increase the number of places in Early Childhood Education "by reaching into the pockets of middle-class families and leaving them without a subsidy”.

He announced that the PP has already presented an initiative in Parliament for the Ministry to convene the Children's Table in September and to correct the errors in the new table of bonuses. The PP also believes it necessary to guarantee at least two extraordinary calls so that families can request bonuses throughout the course and implement measures to give options for a bonus place to applications submitted after the deadline.

The text of the motion, which meets the demands raised by the sector in the work meetings held with the Andalusian Popular Party, also asks to attend to the payments of the August compensation and the monthly payments to the collaborating centers.

EDUCATION IN ANDALUSIA, A “POVORÍN”

The general secretary of the Andalusian PP harshly criticized the management of the new counselor, of whom she said, "she does not respond", while Education in Andalusia has become a "powder keg" due to the "chaos" in the management carried out by the socialist governments in the Andalusian Public Education Board.

He recalled some of the controversies that have arisen in recent months, such as the opening of an investigation into the Board by the Prosecutor's Office for giving ESO titles to students who have not passed; the interim and opponents who have not been able to appear at the last call due to a computer error; or the problems that persist in the introduction of French in Primary, among others.

He insisted that Díaz is "very far from the reality of Andalusia" and that while these problems are increasing "she continues in her internal fights with the PSOE for plurinationality."

He warned that every day it is clearer what Díaz's budgetary priorities are: "a budget is a political program and these days we have seen how his priorities are bonuses for political positions in the SAS that are also given in other public companies in the Junta, the bonuses for housing to the high positions of the Junta or the increase of 36% of the expense in trips of Díaz and his advisers, we do not know if by the primaries of the PSOE”.

"It is clear what his priority is: to make cuts to maintain the political scaffolding of the PSOE in the Junta de Andalucía," he concluded.
