- He points out that in the electoral debates "two models face each other: that of Pedro Sánchez and his alliances with whoever it takes that is disastrous for the Andalusians and that of Pablo Casado, who has the change in Andalusia as a mirror"
- He affirms that Sánchez and Díaz only see Andalusia as "a game of thrones to stay with the PSOE"
The deputy secretary general of the Andalusian Popular Party, Toni Martín, stated today at a press conference that "if Pedro Sánchez continues as President of the Government, he will treat Andalusia as a second-class unit compared to Catalonia or the Basque Country." And that, he pointed out, can be verified in the television debates that Pedro Sánchez "has tried to avoid at all costs, also stealing a face-to-face with Pablo Casado from the Spanish." For Martín, "Sánchez drags himself into the debates because he tries to hide his true face from the Spaniards and, above all, his intentions regarding the post-electoral pacts."
As indicated by the popular, these debates will be "clarifying" about the consistency and coherence of the different candidates and their projects. One of the models, he pointed out, "is the PP and Pablo Casado, who has already said very clearly that the mirror in which they want to look is the Andalusian government of change." In this sense, he argued that "voting for the PP is a reliable option because whoever votes for the PP knows for sure what is going to happen and that he is a model with which Andalusia will do well."
Faced with this model, Martín stressed, "is that of Pedro Sánchez and his unspeakable alliances with whomever it takes to stay in power", a model that he described as "disastrous" for Andalusia. "Sánchez will govern with his back to Andalusia because that is what he has done in the last 9 months, in which he has been busy paying his mortgages to the Catalan independentists, the Basque nationalists and the pro-ETARRAs."
Thus, he argued that "Sánchez is not going to look at Andalusia because he is going to have one eye on Catalonia and another on the Basque Country, and his assignments not only go against the unity of Spain but also discriminate against us Andalusians economically" . At this point, he recalled how Sánchez "took 24 hours to say no to a new regional financing system and to the additional 4.000 million euros for Andalusia that we agreed to in Parliament."
Martín also pointed out that “when Sánchez looks at Andalusia he only sees a 'game of thrones' with Susana Díaz, a fight to see who will keep the power of socialism in Andalusia, but neither of them see the problems and needs of the Andalusians”.
"This inequality between Spaniards and this discrimination is what Sánchez will have to respond to in the debates and we Andalusians will have to be attentive to see who gives us more guarantees for our future, for job creation, lower taxes and equality with other territories”, stressed the popular leader.
Thus, he stressed that "now that things are beginning to work and go well in Andalusia with the government of change, we need in Spain a government that is in tune and has the same priorities, but that, above all, believes in unity and equality of the Spaniards, without mortgages before those who want to perpetuate privileges”.
For all this, the deputy secretary general of the Andalusian PP concluded, "tonight the Andalusians will once again take note of which is the political project and the president of the Government that is best for Andalusia" and "we will verify that Sánchez and the PSOE are a risk for Andalusia while the PP and Pablo Casado represent the only path to moderation, political stability and economic stability”.
