The Juanma Moreno administration has brought the Public University of Andalusia to a historic level of funding, with an investment of €1.747 billion by 2025.

El Deputy Secretary of Education, University and Student Representation of the PP of Andalusia, Jose Carlos Garcia, has valued the commitment of the Government of Juanma Moreno with the public universities from Andalusia "and their actions prove it."

As he explained, today Andalusia is a benchmark in the university system. “We are organizing and we are guaranteeing the competitiveness, and we are the autonomous community in all of Spain that best funds its public universities. This has been recognized by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities, and it is also confirmed by the Sánchez government's own ministry, which confirms this in its data from the National Institute of Statistics.

"We are the autonomous community that best funds public universities," he reiterated, emphasizing that "what we hope is that the Sánchez government assumes its share of responsibility and also does what it must do, which is improve the funding of our public universities."

For José Carlos García, "investing in the public university system is a commitment to the future of our young people, the development of Andalusia, and Andalusian talent. It means investing in providing more opportunities for our region."

The Public University of Andalusia receives historic funding today

According to him, "the Popular Party of Andalusia has taken the Andalusian universities out of the quagmire in which the PSOE-A had them when it governed, because today our public universities have a historic funding of 1.747 billion of euros." "We have never had this funding for our public universities," he points out. 378 billion euros more of what the last Socialist Party government allocated in 2018.”

Likewise, the Deputy Secretary of Education, University and Student Representation has highlighted that "we have 188 new titles in our universities after more than 10 years with the offer frozen by socialist governments."

Today, Andalusia has a new range of qualifications adapted to the needs of the labor market, providing opportunities for young Andalusians.

"That is the objective of the PP Government and Juanma Moreno, to promote the conditions so that Andalusian students have opportunities in their land”, as well as “better working conditions for our teachers and for our researchers, greater stabilization, and of course, today they are better paid with those regional supplements”.

Along the same lines, García has remarked that “the Andalusia's Erasmus supplement system is the best rated in all of SpainA system that works, that guarantees that our students can go abroad to pursue that Erasmus scholarship, to receive better training in other countries around us, and therefore, to ensure that the quality of the training young people receive is exceptional.”

“Today we can proudly say that Juanma Moreno's government has made our university system a benchmark for all university systems in Spain,” he continued. “We are committed to public universities that are high-quality, strong, that promote research, and that also offer a future full of opportunities for our young people.”

Andalusia doesn't want noise, it needs fair funding

Therefore, the Deputy Secretary of Education, University and Student Representation of the PP of Andalusia has stated that "in the face of those who want to lie and try to put spokes in our wheels and bring tension to this land, we tell them loud and clear that Andalusia is and will be an example of university management, a commitment to the public sector, to our public universities, which are the social elevator that young people in our community need."

Likewise, García has emphasized that “The PSOE forgets how it left our public university system, With a debts of more than 800 million euros that had our public universities suffocating." "Thanks to the good management of Juanma Moreno's government, we have gone from that multi-million-dollar debt to the largest investment in our university system in history."

Thus, he has appealed to the Andalusian PSOE to “if you want to talk about financing, just ask the Andalusian minister, Mrs. Huntsman, who is in Madrid during the week, but who comes down on the weekends to bring the noise of Madrid. A noise that we will not allow in Andalusia, a noise that we will flee from, because We don't want noise in AndalusiaWhat we want is management, opportunities, work and quality of life for Andalusians.”

In this regard, José Carlos García has told the Andalusian Minister of Finance that "if she truly cares about the Andalusian people, what she needs to do is bring back to Andalusia those 1.500 billion euros that we receive less each year due to an unfair financing model, which she herself promised to change, and seven years later she still hasn't done anything."
