• He assures that his Government will be tireless in dialogue and the search for agreements with everyone: "The Andalusians are going to evaluate us and the PP of Andalusia will not let them down"
• Appreciates the affection and support received by the citizens and that, far from euphoria, faces this new period with responsibility and ambition to make Andalusia a better
The president of the Popular Party of Andalusia and president-elect of the Board, Juanma Moreno, has stressed that the dreams of all Andalusians fit in the PP of Andalusia. “I wanted to build a party like what we are today: a political project with broad social bases, interclass, intergenerational, where everyone can fit. That is why we call ourselves the Popular People's Party ”, she said.
Moreno, who chaired the Autonomous Board of Directors held in Seville this Friday, has stressed that the PP of Andalusia is a party stuck to the ground and, in addition, it is a constitutional Andalusian political project. “We are Andalusian by and for Andalusia. We want to work from our land to make it bigger. Thus, we also make Spain bigger ”, he added.
In line with the latter, he thanked all citizens for their support and affection. "We have achieved a milestone: to be the favorites in the eight provinces, overcoming walls like the one that the PSOE had built in Seville and that on June 19 we pulverized thanks to everyone's efforts," he added.
The Andalusian president has valued the campaign "positively, with joy and illusion", which has been able to transmit the effort to infect the Andalusians with the dream of the PP, which is to achieve a better Andalusia. "We Andalusians have written a page in the history of our land that many believed would never be written", he added. In this sense, he has stressed that it has been the Andalusians who have made this historic change possible. "They have entrusted us with 58 seats and 1.582.000 votes in a free and democratic manner."
In this regard, he has outlined that the Andalusians have supported the path begun four years ago of moderation, management and ambition for Andalusia and for Andalusian families. "They have given us an enormous wealth that we are going to turn into prosperity, well-being and a future for Andalusia." Along these lines, he considered it essential to interpret the results correctly: “Neither complacency, nor euphoria, nor relaxation. Responsibility, good sense and commitment. The 58 seats are not from the Andalusian PP, they belong to the Andalusians, they represent the Andalusians and are at their service”.
In relation to this, he has assured that the Andalusians have not given the Andalusian PP a blank check, but that they have entrusted them with the honor of building, together with them, the Andalusia of all. For this reason, he has advocated complying with the word given from the first minute, "that is the credit and gasoline of our political project." For this reason, he has announced that, "without time to lose", the investiture will foreseeably take place on July 22.
Thus, he remarked that the next Government of Andalusia will tirelessly listen, dialogue and seek agreements with all sectors, reaching out to anyone who wants to join efforts and, on the contrary, confronting anyone who "despises, mistreats or ignore” Andalusia. Likewise, it has promised to advance in the transformation of Andalusia and to continue the reforms that have given results to strengthen public services, protect families, lower taxes, simplify bureaucracy, support SMEs and the self-employed and open leadership paths. in digital transformation and the green economy.
“The Andalusians have trusted the path of the Andalusian PP and have placed their hope in us. Your demand will be proportional to your confidence. Now the real test begins. They expect from us what we promised them: honesty, proximity, moderation, management and ambition. The Andalusians are going to evaluate us and the PP is not going to let them down ”, he continued.
Priority of the Government of Andalusia: help families and SMEs
On the other hand, Moreno lamented the sad economic situation that the country is experiencing and that is affecting families and SMEs. "We are aware that the main concern is to face the most basic cost: the shopping basket, gasoline... And we have to try to find a solution." On this point, he has affirmed that inflation is running amok in the face of a Central Government that, far from generating certainties, creates uncertainty and anguish. “Far from putting solutions, it puts patches. There is no direction or leadership while families suffer and half the government fights with the other half.
For this reason, it has asked the Government of Spain, from the utmost institutional loyalty, to make decisions with determination, allow itself to be advised by experts and listen to the main opposition party. Likewise, he has assessed the package of measures that the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, presented to the Government of Sánchez, which contemplated the drop in VAT.
"I ask Sánchez to stop this preventive policy, to listen more, to be more serene, more humble, to share and learn from other sectors in order to be able to propose effective measures to the Spanish people, not 'patch' measures as he has done up to now".
For his part, he asserted that it is key for Andalusia to approve a Budget as soon as possible, which is already underway, which will be a breath of fresh air for family economies, a useful tool for the productive fabric and a boost to public services and social policies.
“Difficult times are coming, but we know how to manage difficulties, demonstrated in the pandemic. Focusing on what is important: always respond to the problems of Andalusians; seeking the complicity of society, working together and listening to what it needs, and showing that we have courage, ambition and the ability to overcome difficulties”.
Also present at the Autonomous Board of Directors were the general secretary of the Andalusian PP, Loles López; the general coordinator of the PP and coordinator of the campaign for regional elections, Elías Bendodo; the provincial president of the PP of Seville, Virginia Pérez; the general coordinator of the PPA, Antonio Repullo; the deputy secretary general of the PPA, Toni Martín, and the spokesman for the PP of Andalusia, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, among other attendees.
