· The president of the PPA visits the areas affected by the rains of the weekend

· Requests "maximum diligence and speed so that the aid reaches the neighbors as soon as possible"

The president of the Andalusian PP, Juanma Moreno, demanded today in Bobadilla Estación an "exceptional" response from the Government of Spain and the Junta de Andalucía, in the face of the "terrible" floods caused by the rains over the weekend. He assured that it is an "exceptional situation, which has caused very heavy damage and, therefore, requires exceptional action."

Thus, he asked that it be declared "as soon as possible a catastrophic zone and that there be maximum diligence and speed for aid to reach neighbors as soon as possible."

Juanma Moreno visited the areas affected by the floods today and will attend the funeral this afternoon in Antequera for the firefighter from the Malaga Provincial Council Fire Department who died while working in these floods. Moreno reiterated his condolences to her family and she highlighted the good work done by the firefighters, the State Security Forces, the UME, all the administrations and the neighbors themselves.

He insisted on the need to "help and collaborate to alleviate the very serious situation of the residents, who have lost homes, belongings, farms and even memories." He added that the people affected "need the support and shelter of the administrations so that normality can be restored as soon as possible."
