• He has also promised to define irrigable areas in this area when he is president of the Board
• Highlights that the Siles Dam is a monument to the inefficiency of the Andalusian Government
• Influences the full commitment of the PP so that eleven thousand irrigators and nine municipalities can benefit from this dam
The president of the Andalusian PP, Juanma Moreno, has promised today that if he has the support of the Andalusians in the next elections and is elected president of the Junta de Andalucía, he will work to build and start up the necessary pipelines to enable irrigation in the Siles Dam and to delimit the irrigable areas.
Moreno, who has visited the Siles Dam, has lamented that it is a monument to the inefficiency of the Andalusian Government's management, while at the same time he has influenced the full and clear commitment of the PP so that eleven thousand irrigators and nine municipalities can benefit from this dam and so that the entire Sierra de Segura region can have the capacity to raise its level of income, progress, well-being and employment. “Thousands of people are waiting for this decision. It is a political decision that depends on the Government of the Junta. My commitment to this matter is maximum and unequivocal ”, he added.
The Andalusian popular leader has indicated as main objectives the delimitation of the irrigable area and start the necessary works so that this area can be irrigated because, as he has said, "irrigated olive groves are more productive, more profitable and generate more jobs and more wealth".
In this sense, he recalled that the candidates in this region have spent years claiming and claiming what is already something historical without having any kind of response from the Junta de Andalucía.
In this way, he explained that the PP has been behind this matter for some time, with numerous claims being made in relation to this matter.
Moreno has stressed that the PP has repeatedly taken the allocations to the community budgets so that this dam becomes a reality for the irrigators, at the same time that he has criticized that they have encountered the wall of the PSOE and Cs, since that "the latter has not supported its implementation either."
“I am not campaigning. I am working. Others will be with the calculator in hand and defoliating the daisy to see when there will be elections. I am here learning about a problem and trying to give some answers so that tens of thousands of farmers can have a more prosperous future”.
Finally, he has stated that it is a matter of political will, for which he has added that he does not understand the reasons that have led to the Andalusian Government not being interested and not having the will to resolve this issue, which is key to everyone's wealth.
