The general coordinator of Nuevas Generaciones de Andalucía, José Carlos García, highlighted this Monday that the Government of Juanma Moreno has maintained the price of university tuition and is the second autonomous community with the lowest prices, behind Galicia.
García wished luck to the 51.479 young people who are starting the university entrance exam this week and stressed that "he is doing it with a sensitive Andalusian government that is committed to them." Thus, he has specified that "the Andalusian Government freezes the price of university tuition for the next academic year and remains the region with the second lowest prices, only behind Galicia, also governed by the Popular Party".
He also highlighted that "the discount of 99% of the cost of approved credits is maintained, so that students with good performance will be rewarded when they formalize their enrollment".
Regarding the access tests from a year ago, García explained that in this edition the number increased to 186, a figure that represents an increase of 67 venues compared to last year "in order to guarantee the minimum distance of 1,5 meters between the students".
Likewise, "enrollments in the test also increased by 18,53%". Specifically, there are 8.051 more people enrolled, "for a total of 51.479 students, of whom 30.125 are men and 21.354 are women."
The leader of Nuevas Generaciones has also specified that "the tuition bonus is extended to students of higher artistic education." In this way "the solid commitment of the government of change with the students and with the tuition bonus is demonstrated once again."
He also stressed that the universities will also have 14% more resources this year, "since the debt that the Socialist Board accumulated with the universities since 2015 is being paid"
“Faced with a management, we have had a Minister of Universities disappear, who has barely had an agenda in the moments of greatest uncertainty for students. Of the 99 days that the State of Alarm has lasted, he has been missing and without an agenda for 65 days. 65 days in which Minister Castell took the confinement very seriously while the university students did not know that he was going to happen with the EVAU. When are the university classes going to start next year? Are you going to start online or in person? There are many unknowns that young students have and very few answers given from the Ministry of Universities”, denounced García.
