Raquel Serrano: «Knowledge is the fundamental tool for freedom»

  • Raquel Serrano Lledó, Industrial Design and Product Development engineer, on the occasion of 8M, has received the young prize 'They change Andalusia' awarded by the Andalusian Popular Party.

 

Raquel Serrano received the young prize of 'They change Andalusia', on the occasion of 8M, International Women's Day. The Andalusian Government continues to support young talent in Andalusia by promoting initiatives such as Move Alma Andalusia, which facilitates the completion of professional internships for women or young people in situations of social vulnerability in other regions or countries of the European Union with an execution period between 2024-2028 and an investment of three million euros.

The young Raquel Serrano is Design engineer and director of FIIXIT, a company focused on creating 3D printed splints that replace the classic 'plaster'. He studied Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development at the University of Malaga. His TFG was a chair for children aged 3 to 5 years with motor difficulties, project that was carried out with the collaboration of the Early Care Department of the Junta de Andalucía. She completed the Master's Degree in 'Design and Representation in Engineering and Architecture' at the UMA. Among the awards and recognitions he has received The Medal of Civil Merit that Felipe VI gave him in June 2019 stands out.

Talent that speaks and thinks feminine

Juanma Moreno in her speech stated that «"Sometimes we have walls that are not physical, but mental walls that society itself has not been able to tear down and that we must tear down in all areas." Therefore, he invited “shake consciences” and especially those from the business world because, from their point of view, “We are not going to be able to reach those levels of well-being, if there is no massive incorporation of all the talent that speaks and thinks in feminine terms, which brings greatness to our land and which is still very limited.”
