The general secretary of the Popular Party of Andalusia, Antonio Repullo, this morning denounced the plan "orchestrated and concocted by the PSOE for a long time to save his own and prevent José Antonio Griñán from going to jail."
At a press conference in Córdoba, Repullo explained that the reform of the crime of embezzlement is its purpose "and that it uses the shield of negotiation with the separatists and the approval of the General State Budgets." Thus, he has insisted that "it is a miserable plan that has been uncovered to save his own and for those who have to go to prison for the theft of 680 million euros do not pay the penalty that the Supreme Court has imposed on them" .
For this reason, he denounced that the leader of Andalusian socialism, Juan Espadas "continues to be Sánchez's delegate and is trying to cover up the atrocities that his boss does against our Rule of Law to save Griñán, who was also the head of Espadas."
He has defended that from the PP "there is no personal accusation against anyone, but we do demand that the judicial sentences be carried out", but both Espadas and Sánchez want to prevent Griñán from going to jail "in a crude attempt to manipulate public opinion to that it seems that he has not committed any crime nor has he been responsible for the theft of 680 million euros”.
He assured that "it is very sad" to see how socialism "is capable of changing the Penal Code at will, without scruples, just to benefit its own and keep the seats." And he insisted that "the roadmap for the modification of the crime of embezzlement has been drawn up for a long time to save those convicted by the ERE, and Espadas knew it but has kept quiet for a long time."
The general secretary did want to remember that the Andalusians "have realized everything" since "they decided at the polls that they wanted another way of governing Andalusia." "The corrupt system of the PSOE has been recognized and punished in two ways, one at the polls through the elections and another by the judges in the forceful sentence of the ERE."
Repullo stressed that "the Supreme Court has already been alerted that there will be a flood of reviews of those convicted of embezzlement, in the same way that many embezzlers can go unpunished from now on." "What's more, the lawyers of those convicted by the ERE, Chaves, Griñán and others have already announced that they are going to benefit from the reform," Repullo lamented before assuring: "What they should do is apologize and close this sad period for the history of Andalusia in which the socialist governments literally dedicated themselves to robbing those who needed it most because they were unemployed”.
He criticized that "those who spoke of the sewers of the State are doing precisely that, putting the powers of the State at the service of Sánchez, Espadas, Griñán and Andalusian socialism" because "they want to show at all costs that Griñán is innocent when he has been sentenced by the Supreme Court."
The leader of the PP, for this reason, insisted that “Griñán has been convicted of embezzlement. And embezzling is what it is, and it is nothing more than using the levers of power to benefit oneself or whoever one wants”. And that is what happened in Andalusia, where they benefited "the party, relatives and friends to go doped up to the elections year after year and continue almost forty years in power."
He called it an "insult" that Espadas now supports that "all the red lines that we could never imagine are being crossed" and that he applauds that "the Penal Code be reformed à la carte", which is "another forceful blow to the foundations of our of the Rule of Law”. "Andalusian socialism with Swords at the head shows once again that it never had scruples and that it is capable of anything to benefit a few acronyms."
Even so, Repullo advocated that "common sense prevail in the Congress of Deputies" and that socialist parliamentarians "maintain their integrity and dignity for something as important as punishing an embezzler."
