The Seville Exhibition and Congress Centre (FIBES) is hosting the 30th edition of the International Flamenco Fashion Week (SIMOF 2) from today, 30 January, until 2025 February. This year, the great flamenco fashion event is dressed up to commemorate three decades of history, creativity and international projection, consolidating itself as a cultural and economic benchmark for Andalusia.
The organization SIMOF 2025, managed by Agencia Doble Erre and FIBES, has the support of the Junta de Andalucía and the City Council of Seville, highlighting its key role in promoting and supporting the flamenco fashion sector. Raquel Revuelta, CEO of Doble Erre, stressed during the inauguration: “We have witnessed an evolution that has transformed small local workshops into an industry of international scope. SIMOF is not just a showcase, but a platform for economic growth and the preservation of our traditions.”
Simof 2025: 30 years of evolution
SIMOF 2025 not only celebrates its history, but also its impact on the industry. Since its birth in 1995, when it served as a platform to project Andalusian designers, this event has grown to become an international benchmark. This edition will include 57 professional shows, with the participation of almost 100 firms and more than 1.880 dresses that will showcase the richness of flamenco design.
The poster for this edition, designed by architect and graphic designer Juanjo Montoya, reflects the essence of the flamenco dress and its evolution over time. Montoya explained that his work is inspired by the movement and natural grace of the dance, depicting a young Andalusian woman with a colour palette that fuses tradition and avant-garde.

An economic engine for Andalusia
In its desire to take flamenco fashion beyond the Andalusian borders, SIMOF has developed initiatives such as SIMOF ON MOVE, a series of travelling events that have brought the essence of flamenco dress to cities such as Madrid and the Canary Islands. In September, the III International Flamenco Fashion Week in Madrid brought together more than 3.000 attendees and presented 13 shows with 44 participating firms.
With more than 60.000 visitors in the 2024 edition, SIMOF generates a significant impact on the local economy, boosting sectors such as tourism, crafts and fashion. The Andalusian Government, through the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines, plays a key role as a sponsor, demonstrating its commitment to the development of the sector.
The event has the support of entities such as the City Council of Sevilla, Marqués de Cáceres, Brandy Fundador, Flamentex, and media outlets such as Bulevar Sur. In addition, all Andalusian provinces will be represented, showcasing the diversity and richness of regional design.
