· The spokesperson for the party in Andalusia, Maribel Torregrosa, affirms that "the Andalusians deserve that we work together in the search for solutions and that happens by taking advantage of the wealth of opportunities from European funds"
· Stresses that the Government of Juanma Moreno once again anticipates including also in the social pact a battery of measures to improve water management

The spokesperson for the Popular Party of Andalusia, Maribel Torregrosa, urges the PSOE-A and its general secretary to "take seriously" the problem of the drought and "join the demand of the Junta de Andalucía so that the Government of Spain reprograms European funds and request a LOSS specific water so that all the water infrastructures that this land needs to alleviate the increasingly harmful effects of this growing lack of water and that are the responsibility of the State can be completed.

"The administrations cannot simply be looking at the sky to see if it rains or not," he points out, "our obligation is to act and be able to take advantage of all the resources that may be within our reach so that this structural lack of water affects the least possible to our primary sector, to our industry and, ultimately, to our economy and our homes”. "Andalusia is drying up," he warns, "and the Andalusians deserve that their representatives give the best of themselves and work together in the search for solutions, and that happens by taking advantage of the enormous wealth of opportunities from European funds."

The Andalusian PP spokeswoman underlines that the Government of Juanma Moreno has also known how to anticipate this water issue, in such a way that as a result of its permanent listening efforts and its constant desire for dialogue, two drought decrees have been launched endowed with 141 million euros, whose execution is at 72%, while a third decree is already being prepared that will be released next April.

In addition, Maribel Torregrosa underlines that in the last three years the Andalusian Executive has mobilized 1.500 million euros in water investments and there are 300 purification works that have either been completed or are being carried out, which will benefit 85% of the territory . Here, the popular spokesperson points out that "we cannot forget the million-dollar sanctions that the Andalusian government has received as a result of the disastrous socialist management of previous years and that we are still paying".

Likewise, Torregrosa also highlights the commitment to public-private collaboration, which has made it possible to invest 200 million euros in the modernization of irrigation systems, works that have resulted in a water saving of 12 hm3/year and a drop in the electricity bill. for irrigators between 30% and 40%.

However, he points out that "the Government of Andalusia cannot do everything alone." For this reason, he regrets that "the only thing that the Government of Sánchez has done to face the drought in Andalusia has been to reduce the investments planned in the General Budgets by 12% when it was already clear that the hydrological year was going to be disastrous, as as the president of the Hydrographic Confederation recognized two days ago”. To which he adds that, despite the constant demands of the affected sectors, the Government has only activated a drought decree with 9,6 million euros, "an absolutely insufficient figure for the needs of the basin that covers 67% of our territory and that it is the competence of the State”.

In short, the spokesperson for the popular Andalusians defends that "the PP, President Juanma Moreno is keeping his word" and "we are going to continue working along the same lines as has also been included in the Social and Economic Pact signed last week with unions and employers. The agreement establishes devoting 60 million euros to improve water security in Andalusia, creating a shock plan against drought with an endowment of 100 million euros, as well as measures to promote the efficient use of water and renewable energy in the sector agrarian.

A single voice in defense of Andalusia

"This is how the Government of Juanma Moreno works, with anticipation, with commitment, in permanent dialogue with all sectors and always seeking an agreement for the benefit of all," concludes Torregrosa while inviting the PSOE-A to "join so that the voice of Andalusia sounds strong, clear and united”.

The Andalusian PP spokeswoman also suggests that Sánchez's ministers "come to Andalusia with the solutions that the Andalusians expect, instead of with empty announcements and only to criticize and insult the Andalusian government as Minister Planas did yesterday here in Córdoba". . For Torregrosa "it is totally incomprehensible that Luis Planas comes to say that Andalusia is going to do very well with the new PAC because he knows perfectly well that it is not like that, that 500 million euros are going to be lost and that will translate into the loss of many jobs”.

Thus, Maribel Torregrosa asks Minister Planas to "listen to the farmers and ranchers" and to "take the outstretched hand of the Minister of Agriculture and join in defending the allegations that Andalusia has presented, which are not the allegations of a party political but those of the entire agro-livestock sector, the voice of Andalusia”.
